Singleplayer: Setting to disable aging and vitamins?
I know there's a setting to disable aging, but I'm not sure I'm using it correctly or had the correct one. Mostly because when I set it to true, I started my game and my character had gone from 22 to 350 years old.

I'm also wondering if there is a command to turn off vitamins? There isn't a very balanced selection of foods to cook, and almost all that provide more than one vitamin need rare ingredients that I've never seen yet. Like chilis. As far as I can tell, they don't exist on any island I've found so far. The only other option is to carry a stack of each kind of basic food, which has its own drawbacks. Such as that it's hard to eat enough to even keep the vitamins steady without triggering the "overeating" damage.

Maybe they'll do more balance work on these features in the future, but for now I'd like to just switch them both off. I'd appreciate any help with getting the correct settings, and with turning them on correctly. Disabling aging won't help much if the only way to do so means I'm instantly hundreds of years old. :(

well hunger setting to 1.5 is a good balance for vitamine drain and food drain and if need to burn hunger fast use stamina spenders like natures wrath or what ever it is. or run around on deck or swing at the air.

If you disable aging it doesn't take effect until you die and respawn.

While running around trying to deplete the contents of your stomach curse the devs for such a lame mechanic that causes you to do such stupidity. Helps me feel better while running, jumping, and swinging arms. Just remember to turn off the auto targeting crap so you don't punch something you didn't intend to.

The setting for hunger only effects the stomach. Your vitamin still depletes at the same rate. Leaving you in worse condition if you decrease it's depleation rate.

Be Thankful its Not real life ....... Game for sure has issues compared to other survival game.

I've turn my food drain to 3.0 .. so I can eat more .. but you can't eat to much either .. settings for that also in game. Put point into hunger (Overeatting) and Vitamin control in skill tree.

Wherever you have Steam installed - Steam>SteamApps>common>Atlas>ShooterGame>Saved>Config>WindowsNoEditor

Game.ini is your friend in SP. There are a lot of settings available that you can add into there that will eventually make your life easier. Always a good idea to learn vanilla first so you know what you want to adjust. There's a few settings, like the age one, specific to Atlas but most of the same configs work as in Ark.

well the food drain i have set drains it enough to have room to increase vitamines most fish cooked and meat cooked gives 5 points and your regular wild begi like berries acai so on gives 1 or point. thus usualy can eat 2 or 3 fish 2 or 3 meat and then fill in balance of the other two with berries and vegi

i found a youtube vid on the .ini file :) just be sure to back up the original. call it .iniBACKUP or something. then remove the backup part if you need it again.

Training Dummy or the Shovel are more effective. Honestly as long as you're fairly active Basic Recipes are all you need. 1 serving of Fish Chips and Pork Pie each will fill the tummy 50% and balance your vits to 50 each. Vit C takes a bit of time for some weird reason. (Default settings)

Mods help with the vitamins, found one that makes a multivitamin that sets them all to 75 and is easy to craft

Was thinking about giving that one a look once I get settled in somewhere and get tired of the eating mini-game. Hard to imagine they could take Ark and make it more grindy, but, pfft, surprise, surprise.
