Cannot Harvest Fiber with Harvesting Animals or Sickle

I cant harvest fiber from a bear or a sickle. Only my hands?! Im on single player

i think some fiber plans have been misclassified as hand harvestables as they also give wood, move to another island most of the island are alright and you can harvest fiber with tools there

and some islands other then starting island no fruit or grains grow seems like least one im on and i have moved away from freeport. its like the thing firs tgave jute and was somthing else then got changed into oak bush or somthing on my game then reset to the fiber wood giveing bush when i restarted the game

Ok its hand harvesting for the straw because it also gives you wood. Looks like the game is going to be a touch harder if this is the intention... :) Xaton, I was on M7 freeport I think.. and I harvested rice and bean seeds
