It is already sad that some islands have many discovery points that you will never see, for the same reason. .. other players.
Would be neat though :)
Maybe traveling merchants or something along those lines that randomly spawns on islands for a few hours at a time? hrm.
Hostile NPC encampments

"Speaking of things we’re working on, later this month you’ll be able to get your hands on our new single server map: Blackwood, which will be available for Unofficial, Single Player, and Non-Dedicated Servers. Plus, don’t forget our new “Wild Pirates Encampments” system, which you can learn more details here:"
I am looking forward to the aggressive encampments myself for SP. :)
Many games out there need a new Labeling system because they are not pure one thing or another but hybrid or new things all together. IMO
Instead of you already having the compass and can just go do that, already.. There is your starter quest :) would it make you feel more accomplished?
this could be an Atlas quest thread :P
All of the above you can do without npc interaction and that is what they consider "quests" and they are more like Goals and achievements, than quests, really.. If they want to make them quests, have someone besides yourself who sets you off to get them.. :P Seems like making whats already there complicated but, it is what people expect, it seems.
