steam where people can put up their school project or game that will never leave a beta state and charge people money.
i knew this wasn't a quality product but i thought it would give me about 5mins of fun. man was i disappointed because 20secs in and i was already done with this. how do you make a kaiju game boring? buildings go down in 1 hit as they fly away fully intact, and taking out enemies is just spamming your attacks. the game just feels lazy and very low effort but if the dev worked on it this could be something. we both know they will not so don't bother with this even on sale as this game is just a waste of space.

Cool idea and cool art for sure. That said, this game doesn't feel ready for the prime time. The music is obnoxious, the gameplay is repetitive, and the controls are very unenjoyable to use. I played the game for a little bit and stopped after only a few minutes. Since I love dinosaur themed games I figured I'd give this a shot. I can't recommend this game in its current state.

I bought this to play with my child. He loved it. That is until the game started freezing. Defeat a boss and the game would just stop. You can jump, but nothing else. This happened over and over. Needs alot of work. For a few bucks it would definently be worth it, if they fixed the bugs.

Roarr! The Adventures of Rampage Rex isn't dino-mite at all, and to be fair it's pretty terrible. The graphics are just ugly, really ugly, It felt they were trying to create that old arcade game feel but it doesn't do any wonders. And the gameplay gets repetitive really quickly and the controls are just awkward and hard to get used to. And the worst thing about this game is that Horrible music, the music is just agony and not only that it repeats over and over to the point where you feel that your ears are going to bleed. The story is simple and nothing special you play as Sue the T-rex who is woken up by an invading alien race who want to take over the world and it's up to you to save it, not much to phone home about. Kids might enjoy the game but adults, meh, not so much at all. Rating: 1/10

I'm not really sure if "Roarr! The Adventures of Rampage Rex" is an asset flip. Some elements of this game certainly make it seem like the developer put some effort into assembling some kind of original here. On the other hand, a lot of the game assets don't seem like they were created by the developer, but they haven't credited any asset creators for supplying assets, which might be a case of plagiarism. There's no evidence, so we need to give the benefit of the doubt... regardless, asset flip or not, the quality here is indistinguishable from many asset flip/cash grab scams, and that's a problem in itself.

All you do here is fight with the really clunky console-esque control scheme to guide a chunky, low poly dinosaur around various asset flip looking low poly environments destroying stuff. That's it... a very small, unambitious attempt at making a game. And I do mean attempt... this is very shallow and simplistic, which ties back into me saying that it's hard to tell if this is an asset flip or not. This really feels like it has the same production values and qualities as an asset flip, or a students homework project.

Taking this shovelware seriously as if it was a genuine attempt to make a game, it doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.

The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with.

PC gamers will be insulted by the presence of console peasant children's toy controller prompts, despite this being on PC. Developers should try to be aware which platform they're developing for.

These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.

"Roarr! The Adventures of Rampage Rex" didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for destroying a low poly (possibly asset flipped) combine harvester, trivial to get, but less than 17 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game.

The poor quality of this game is also reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 12 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 100,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.

So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam?

"Roarr! The Adventures of Rampage Rex" is relatively cheap at $3 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend. This is also competing with over 11,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.

This is a great game for the kids as a time waster. It's even split screen coop if you want to play with them. The buttons are few so it's easy for them to learn the controls. For $3 normal price / under $1 on sale, it's worth it if you have kids that like to play.
