Blanking on Gillhams

If you use Boilies on Gillhams you will catch Common Carp ONLY. Gone are the days when you would catch Arapaima, Pacu, and Mekong and most importantly for me Siamese carp which form part of my Career mode, Carp tour, I have used every boilie, from every swim and blanked trying to catch a Siamese over and over again, I have now reached 9th stage of my 10 stage Carp Tour and stopped, I cannot catch a Siamese to move on. I noted that on Youtube, Big Bug yesterday used a Bolie on one rod and he only got Common Carp, that is because nothing else will take a bolie. ,Stephen, What has changed ?.

Strange that you are not catching on Boilies I was fishing on Gillhams on Saturday and was catching Red Tailed Catfish, Pacu, and Carp on Boilies and Pop-up Tiger Nuts but not in career mode I have found this happens when Predator fishing in career mode on Waldsee you catch nothing since the Pro tour update there are a lot of things that have changed but not for the better whats the point of a career mode if it's impossible to complete ?.

I got a 246 lb mekong catfish with carp baits.also got 137lb carp near the bridge.
fish from 5th peg on the left in line with bridge
try all the carp baits I did and they all caught fish

i was using taine as bait and got cobra 560 lbs

Ron, I think your are right, It looks like its the career mode that is at fault, Its funny you mention Waldsee because i completely agree with you, I had a blank on their in Career Carp mode. This time I managed just 56lb and came about 50th, but Gillhams is a no go in Pro Carp Career mode.

Been fishing the peg FJM1948 recommended ,out of career mode and i am still catching only common Carp. So i sent a ticket to Stephen and asked him to have a look.

I can see Wobbly Captain new Youtube video where he is using boilies on Gillhams and catches, you guessed it, Common Carp only. Proves my point.

What size rigs do you use because if i use size 4 i only get common carp but on size 2 i catch all of the fish on boilies.
I have been catching Siamese carp all night on boilies for me it is the mekong catfish that are hard to catch i have only had 2 them 180lb and 208lb i see them dive on the bait all the time but they dont take it.
EDIT:Just watched Wobbly Captain's video and he only used size 4 rigs and only caught common carp that's what happened to me so i only use size 2 rigs on Gillhams now.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't want to get to a point where they make it easier to catch a fish. regardless of species, or tour, or pointing out where fish are let alone what to use. Those inconsistencies are there so people cant just be spoon-fed the answers to know the information and progress with no challenge. In real life you would probably switch baits. Eventually I promise something will work and be great for you. Not bashing, I'm sure improvements could be made. I'm simply saying lets not push the envelope too far ya know. Just keep switching it up.

Ghost, I am using size 4 hooks for Boilies, but i will follow what you are saying and I thank you for your comments. I just watched a new video by Dr Dave fishing a match on youtube and watched him blank using boilies on Gillhams.

Zteak88, I do understand what you are getting at, But I come from a fishing background and this may surprise you I live and fish in Thailand and on Gillhams we use size 4 hooks for boilies. If the fishing got hard we would go down in size not up, I considered the size 2 hooks were only for the deadbaits and my thinking is in line with Dr Daves
that why he and me blanked. You are correct we do not want a game that is very easy. I think the game is very good indeed. Dovetail have live streams every Tuesday, so they do listen to people but it is not easy to please everybody. Thank you for your comments, i think we are both on the same page with this game.

sorry mate didnt mention the hook size,thought everybody knew that you have to use size 2 hooks with dead baits comes up on screen evrytime you play in game

Yes but you need size 2 rigs with boilies on Gillhams too or you will just catch common carp or blank.
The game does not tell you that.

The post wasn't about using size 2 hooks with deadbaits I think that everyone is aware of that it was about not being able to catch carp on boilies it appears that on Gillhams you have to use the size 2 hooks with Bolies to catch the carp (it may be worth while using size 2 hooks on other venues that are difficult to catch the Carp on) which just seems strange to me but the workings of this game can be very strange indded.

Ron, I put a size 2 hook on along with a CR bottom Bait boilie and caught a 50lb Carp first cast on Weldsee. Amazing . Thanks everyone for all the comments.
