Is it possible to catch anything at Gillham’s or is the lake just bugged?

I played the game when it was in GamePass, through the Microsoft store, and Gillham’s worked just fine.

On the steam version, I NEVER get bites. I’ve tried the techniques and baits that worked for me on the MS stire version, I’ve scoured the internet for tips, and I haven’t had a single bite over several hours of fishing at Gillham’s. Is the lake just completely bugged?

Good old days then Gillham's worked just fine. I don't have any bites too, my friends and some streamers I watched said the same. Sad.

Same here. I picked up the game again after a few months absence. Worked fine last time I played it, now it's as dead as any hopes of ever getting it fixed now that this series has been abandoned. Pity, this was a great game before they stuffed it up.

It's been discussed in the Discord, and the devs claim there's no problem because the winning tournament scores are about the same. I don't know.

Ok so i wonder if this is the same problem i posted about in 2019.

The thing with Gillham's is that if you use size 4 rigs you will only catch common carp or blank because the only fish that take baits on size 4 rigs are the common carp but because there are so few common carp in the lake if none spawn in your swim you will 100% blank.

You have to use size 2 rigs for all baits on Gillham's not just the dead baits i played on Gillham's last night and had no problem catching fish on size 2 rigs.

Yes you need to use big hooks for big fish here.

Well we have no problems after 4 hours on there as you can see we caught fish from all the pegs.
We had almost 6000lb fish.

The games bugged no answer from devs looks like it’s been a massive waste of money, sad as I loved it on Xbox

Yes - no issue at all, competed in the Carp Championship yesterday as finished 3rd

Before that I caught Bhumibol the trophy fish (posted in the DTG discord).
