Fishing style and species
First of all, I would like to thank the Dev's for making this awesome game. I see a lot of people complain and sometimes I find it not justified.
I constantly switch from Fishing Sim World (and Euro Fishing) to Ultimate Fishing Simulator. The reason here is to look for simulairities and to see what makes both of them eccentric.

So in my opinion Fishing Sim World has a much more active way of fishing, with bigger (trophy) fish and better quality point system. However they have lesser viarity of fish species.
Ultimate Fishing Sim has a brilliant adaptation on the fly fishing and ice fishing, but that has it's flaws and can turn dull from time to time.

My questions for the dev's:
1. Are there any future plans on adding more fish species (Trout, Salmon, etc.)?
2. Are you be bound to only freshwater fish or are you planning on going ocean style also?
3. Are you going to add more thropy fish to the game?
4. Will there be a posibility to edit fish or lakes for single player (in the future)?
5. Are you planning on new DLC's or just updates? And if you're planning on DLC's were is the focus on?
6. Do you dev's look/test other fishing sim games aswell?
7. Did the dev's made all the fish models themselves or did they bought them and just added there own physics to the models?
8. Can we expect more fishing gear in the future (rods, fishing styles, clothing, lures. etc)?
9. Are you planning on implementing a first person view for the game?
10. Do you think you have enough resources to meet the demands of your gamers?

Sorry for all these questions, but I'm just curious.

All in all, keep up the good work and hope to hear from you,

Cheers

For me the flyfishing in UFS is made very bad. Much better in Pro Fishing Simulator, but also not optimal.
It would be nice to see a real Flyfishing Simulator.

Hi PickleRick, thank you for your post. We're glad to hear that you have been enjoying Fishing Sim World.

To answer your questions:
  1. We will be adding in more species in future. We are currently working on a couple of species that you will see in game soon. We would like to bring in trout and salmon in future.
  2. For the time being we will be focused on freshwater but would like to expand to salt water further down the line.
  3. We are open to the idea of adding more trophy fish in to the game.
  4. This isn't something that we are looking to do at the moment but this may change in future.
  5. We will be doing a mix of both. Our updates will look to fix bugs and add in new features. Our next DLC is Lake Arnold which releases tomorrow (Tuesday 15th January) and following that we will have Gigantica Road Lake. Further details about DLCs past that will be provided soon.
  6. Our team do try out the other fishing games on the market to see how they approach the different mechanics in game.
  7. We develop the fish models. We put an article on our website a while back describing the process of how we created the pike in Fishing Sim World https://live.dovetailgames.com/live/fishing-sim-world/articles/article/how-we-make-pike. This will give you an idea of how we created the others as well.
  8. We will be adding more fishing gear in future.
  9. First person mode can be toggled with 'v' on the keyboard or the back/view button on an Xbox 360/Xbox One controller.
  10. We feel we have the resources to achieve what we want to and deliver the features you are asking for.
