Xbox Controller Problems

Game is not recognizing my controller, can anybody help me, Thanks in advance
I just got new computer as mine old one crashed. Game card is nivdia 2080 ti. I cannot cast with the controller and probably other things. It does show the casting bar and only drops the hook about 3 ft. Anybody know why or how to fix this? any developers checking this site or do I need to go their site?
Works on every other actions except the casting. just drops the hook straight down with no cast bar or whatever its called. Anbody with any help

Hi ecybak, can you clarify for me whether the casting power bar is there or not. If it isn't showing when you try to cast, go in to the options and change your casting method to Basic Cast Control.

Still doing the same thing, nothing changed. Also when i try to switch to the controller and go to the game it switches back to keyboard in options. The controller works in other games so i don't understand this. It worked good on my old computer! The options page only works with the mouse and not the controller.When i switch to controller it switches back the keyboard. Tried using the mouse with the same results, no casting.The round circle with drag settings etc shows up also the dept gauge showing hook dept. The casting bar is not showing up at all. Anybody know what/why casting not working in my game. This may help also have intel core i9 processor in new computer4!!

Seems to be working better now, once in a while it can't make up its mind but then works. Don't know what happened, did not do anything to change things at my end. Maybe changed at steam or developers end, if so then thank you much.

having the same problem again. My computer got programs deleted with win 11 install, probably my fault had to reinstall steam programs and this is what is happening again!
