New Channel Cat - lure or bait?

First of all - thanks for the huge update!
Quick question - are we able to hunt the Channel Catfish with lures only? Since there are no pegs on new USA lakes I assume it can only be catched on spinning.

Still cant get one on spinn or bait, anyone got lucky and can share the expiriance?

Don't know, I'd like to know too. Managed to catch some trout though :)

I got few nice Trouts on the new top water lures as well, beautiful fish.

Got one on a smelt head but waited about 30 mins for it, tried evening thinking like girl that Catfish would be more active but no luck. Setup was size 2 hook silt, 80lb braid, and Smelt head
