Manor Farm Pike Problem

Is anyone else having issues catching Pike at Manor farm?

I have been on Manor farm today for four hours Lure fishing for Pike and only caught one!!!

I have been using all different lures surface,deep diving etc etc and been fishing in multiple locations around the lake and at different times and weather conditions but no bites whatsoever.

Is this just me not good at Lure fishing or is it an issue?

So today I started fishing again at Manor Farm for Pike After the latest update and here are my findings:

Tackle:

Haichou - Signature Spinning 7ft
Fitzgerald Stunner S3000 Spinning Reel 6:0:1
10lb Vursa Braid Spinning

09.25 Started fishing South east corner third peg on the left at Sunset and with Dynamic Weather casting out to the left in the reeds using the Popper - Honeycomb 3 inch.

09.27 Getting lots of Pike chasing using reel speed 2 and 1 but know bites as of yet.

09.40 Change my lure to the Pencil Bait - Spectrum 4 inch casting to the same spot.

09.45 Got my first bite but unfortunately a poor strike which after a small fight I lost.

09.56 Getting lots of follows from Pike but know bites. Changing Lure to Pencil Bait - Petroleum.

10.11 Still getting lots of follows at reel speed 2 but no follows at reel speed 1 or 3. Changing lure to Pencil Bait - Royale 4 inch.

10.30 No bites lots of follows changing lure to Diving Crankbait - Rainbow Special 3 inch.

10.40 No bites on this lure.

Conclusion:

Well after fishing for just over an hour I managed to get 1 bite (which I didn't land) but lots of Pike chasing my lure. I tried Various Lures at Various speeds and depths.

People may say I need to be more patient, try more lures different locations around the lake etc etc which I agree with.

This is just my experience with trying different techniques.

If people have any better success then please do share them with me

I know this is an old thread but am struggling with this now. Will try some of the suggestions above (super deep gold and 3" popper). Agree with the comment "cruel and unusual" tasking for this lake. A similar one on Ebro in the new game (10 eels....really?...and the species descritption of eel even notes no-one hunts them on purpose) So we need to find the guy that does game play for FSW and slap him.
Follow Up: Tried the suggestions and no luck. Tried dead beat on a #2 for about twenty minutes...no luck (Eastern Pegs)

Forget about “perfect strike “ with a lure. These pike can be caught with dead bait. The catches will count for your mastery challenges. You will see this on Gigantica Road Lake also. I’ve completed all of those and it takes a long time. But one thing I’ve found to do it quicker, after every catch, quit and reset the lake. Your bite rate will be much better. This trick applies to any fish you are trying for.

Again, thanks...I did get the Roach done using the bait suggested. Regarding the reset: Just finished Ebro eels quest and seemed that if I moved the boat after the first three or four catches, the next site seemed hot for 3-4 catches then cooled off...move, new site hot...etc.

I was just on Manor Farm and caught a pike while trying to catch small fish with a T Fry Daddy lure. Also, remember catching a pike with a plastic worm, like green pumpkin chartreuse. Something obscure like that. The pike are strange on Manor and Gigantica Road Lake, but they can be caught. I’ve got the screenshots to prove it.

Update: Huzzah, and there was great rejoicing in the land. 21 pound pike with the pumpkin chartreuse worm. First attempt was a catch but not a perfect strike, second got the perfect strike. fishing from eastern shore casting about 2 O'clock.

Going for the pike on Waldsee now. Seems to be too much of a random element in the game for my taste. I mean other than "local knowledge" how do you figure out the worms work? Try every bait until something takes? Seems there should be a clue in game...not a give away but something that hints in the right direction. Anyway...appreciate the input...would load a screen shot but my mac keyboard on windows wont let me take one.

Glad you got your pike! You catch them once, you get the confidence you need to do it again...

Waldsee also tricky for predator fish. Roach heads are probably best. But I have also caught them in the predator offline tournament using pro shad gold with a twitch retrieval. I got that from a YouTube video. Never would have come up with that myself.

Again, no need for a perfect strike if you catch the pike on dead bait. Your catch will still count. But yeah, if you catch with a lure you need a perfect strike to count. Got all mine with roach heads.

Still working Waldsee...Had a good run at night on pike (roach swim bait) , and catfish during the day (roach head) but having come and gone in the game all (real time)morning have not been able to duplicate those runs at the same game times. Chalking it up to luck. Will make another run at beer call this pm.

Yeah, it’s funny. I call it “Planet Alignment “. When the planets are aligned, you can catch anything and everything. If not, zero,zilch, nada. Same time of day, same peg, same bait. Sometimes it affects one lake, sometimes all lakes. But it never lasts. Your luck will change. Good or bad... but when it’s good, go for everything you can get! You can hit the mother lode when the planets are aligned.😎
