Naming ships

I like the game very much.

I am missing the ability to name ships, e.g. for there function, and store them in space ports with other of the same kind. Maybe names like "Dumb mule I (Ogre)" would be best in the Item list.

I would like to second this request. I know we can nickname pilots, but I would like to ability to individually name ships. Both so that I can keep track of my fleets, and so I can personally name my flagship.

I would endorse this suggestion. Again keeping in mind that we are talking about a one-man dev team, I would think the ability to filter on certain preset terms (for example, selecting 'Carrier' would show all the ships with that role) in the combined station inventory/global stash/ship cargo window not an unwelcome addition. This could also be applied to the personnel roster (i.e. show all crew with X skill).
