Strafing in Keyboard steer mode?

How do you strafe when you're in Keyboard turn mode? Mouse steering feels awful to me but I still want to strafe, and I don't know what to rebind to make it work.

This is something I've brought up on the discord before; unfortunately you can't, and it's my current pet peeve with the game, as it makes broadside gameplay and small ship play a lot more difficult in Keyboard. Hoping this gets changed in the future.

All you can do in Keyboard is bind keys to 'strafe' up/down/left/right to the edges of the screen, which doesn't take into account your current facing at all. Feels really janky to me.
