Is there an even better to read source somewhere?

I have the moneys and the location to get a sanctuary dreadnaught. Is that a good choice for a drone atk build? Prometheus has drone space, but waaay less equipment slots.
I dont think i will grind money for another one in this playtrough.
I value speed agility and tankiness most.

I plan on adding small drone corvettes later with the extra money.


Fleet + Drones: all my ships need the "drones drop parts" tech right? can i add that as speciality same as i do with my own ship?
does ai start drones on its own? or do i with hotkey?

also my drones are variing quality and tiers atm. somtimes in big battles i get a bug that only half my drones are out and activating again sents out the rest, but the others now dock... thats a toggle now for always half my drones :P
is there a solution to fix that beside flying completly out of range?

which than leaves only the Zeus as a drone dreadnaught? children of terra? thats the civilians right? how do i get the bp for that ship?

Ya, if you want a strong solo/drone build you'll have to have Bancheis Nocturnous or 4 enhancement slots.

I think sanctuary is the strongest drone ship (with Bancheis Nocturnous) and prometheus is right behind behind it (5 slots), both with consortium a.i. (obviously).

Fleets have more DPS but much lower survivability. If you're building for a fleet, you're probably not focusing on your main ship having drones as much as fleet space, IE. Rising Sun.

Fleets will use drones on targets they're attacking. Not actually sure that your fleet needs drone parts drop, because I've always just assumed they do.

Even with same quality attack drones there's a bug where the deployed icon will disappear while they are still out killing stuff with auto-target.

*Zeus (ofc with consortium a.i.) is still probably a stronger ship overall. It doesn't have the space to make up for the lower drone dps, like the sanctuary (compared to prometheus), but it does have powerful weapons that can.

also how do you get the bp of the craft only ships like zeus? rank up reputation and than? any way to get without appropriate rep?

Ya, both are in that spreadsheet on Crew tab for Bancheis Nocturnous and Kitchen Sink for consortium a.i.

Bancheis Nocturnous adds drone autotargeting as a crew (engineer is a good spot to stuff him).

Consortium a.i. boosts your enhancements by 48%, so it's ridiculously strong.

No way to get the blueprints without doing the quests which unlock with reputation gains. Also, some backgrounds will prevent you from doing the quests.

And, right now, the Lone Wolf background quest (quest chain starts if you have outis background on a new game) will override other backgrounds, this allows you to do some things that you may not be able to do in the future (like have Zeus BP+Consortium A.I.), depending on how restrictive things are intended to be.
