Endless Sky is a good game. Although I have only played it a little, many players in my community like it and say good things about it. Comparisons are... complicated. Star Valor certainly lacks Story compared to it, as it's more about creating your own stories, with a focus on customization and a more arcade style of combat.
That said, I will be bringing more story content in the future, even though the focus remains on giving players more tools and things to do in order to create their own story. The Base Building DLC will definitely bring more options in this regard.
Thanks for your feedback! Enjoy the game and keep supporting Splattercat. He does A LOT for the indie community, without charging anything for videos.
It was indeed nice to see you there as well.
SV has a strength in its superior crafting and upgrade system, although I'd compare the two games to be on par in the combat, and both are very good and fun in that way.
The base building is definitely going to add a much desired element to the game.
I'd love to see the current star bases firing upon pirate ships though.
Will we ever be seeing an ability to dock / land on planets?
I feel like a quality of life to this whole thing, and something even ES lacks, is an ability to order parts from one sector to another, leaving the player to traverse all the way back to the place they found something, which grows difficult if you're not sitting there with a journal taking notes.
I'd add to that by being able to order parts that you've left at a space station back to where you want them as well, for a fee or something, as I've found myself trying to ferry everything back myself a few times.
However it goes, please keep up the great work, this game is very fun.
Transport between sectors is something I'll most likely add with the DLC :)
Thanks again, enjoy!
Yeah, I'm definitely more interested in doing this sort of stuff. In fact I already have stuff written by a friend, I just have to figure out how to add it. Original idea would be as "item log " drops. We'll see..
Helllllo. you got me interested again. *maybe I should check discord for base building dlc.
You'll be most welcomed! :)
Just accidentally see about Base Building DLC here, just when I wanted to ask about, do factions are capable to claim sectors (which I know now, that's part of faction wars 2.0).
I forgot to mention, that I like this game, since it's one of few games, where we can attempt to extort money from ravager (or boss) before fight.
But I want to ask something: Do there'll be on future some upgrades for pirate gameplay (like more perks related with Red Skulls)?
