Crafting Refined Metal
Is it possible to craft refined metal after i destroyed some of them to get the blueprint?

No.

Also, far as I know, "destroy" doesn't yield any blueprints, scrapping does (rather the ability to craft an item, not an actual blueprint).

The problem is that it is random material that is created during the transformation of the ore.

While there are plans of micro chips, but you only get them as a reward for tasks, and can be bought at "Tinhead Workshop" as a plan.

The 4 Munition Typs , but you only get them as a reward for tasks.

In all my last runs i had tons of refined metal.
But this time playing with my Lacewing, i have no luck. Already Lvl 30 an most of my equipment and weapons are still green.

Maybe i'll find a big treasure of them - hahaha

I've gotten them from refining ores, occasionally from scavenging, and rarely from clearing pirate hideouts. I think some tinhead workshops in the 20-30 range sell them too maybe?

Primary source of Refined Metal is just refining things. The higher refine rate you have the better since there's a hidden "difficulty" to produce something that tanks the refine rate.

Secondary source? Grab that 15% chance to scavenge refined metal and go drown yourself in pile of both metals in some graveyard.

I don't get it. You mean that you can gain refined metals by scrapping them? Weird. I think that refinement should be okay to reproduce. In life there is a process to refine metals. With the right technology. I would like to hear from the Developers on this one.

Presumably, you refine via Refineries.

Basic Mobile Refinery
Turbo Flux Refinery
Advanced Mobile Refinery
Ardonian Mobile Refinery
PMC Mobile Refinery

Refining Metal is clear, but no one plays the Lacewing to mine ore and refine it.
I have to find them in graveyards, etc.
Im hoping a bit on that, what will come in future for SV. Maybe a Station-DLC :104:

engineering skill => scavangingf => enough refined over time, never hada problem with that stuff...

I tend to get a Lot of Refined Metal by just doing Lots of Mining and Refining the Ores-
Always a Lot of Scrap Metal and Refined Metal that way, so much so I usually have
20-30 Extra Refined Metal around after any Weapon Crafting, Improved Upgrade Kits, Transmitters, Thermal Regulators, or Superior Components are Crafted,
and 100-155 Scrap Metal and I end up Selling a Bunch of Extra Scrap Metal for Profit

The other Big Secret is to Destroy 200 Junk and always get 'The Real Space Janitor' Perk-
After you have it, Destroying Units of 20 or so Junk at a time will get you another Steady Source of Scrap Metal, but it also will give Refined Metal at a Good Rate, on top of any Items that 'The Real Space Janitor' can give you

Nowadays, you also want some Stored Junk for when you come across Technomancer Stations if you want to get some Ship Blueprints, or just to get your Reputation Up with
the Technomancers, but I find I always can Collect 30-88 Junk in Storage on my Fleet Ships and still find Plenty of Junk to Destroy for Refined and Scrap Metals- The Item Drops too,
but mostly for the Metals

If you find you have a Sleeker, more Combat Oriented Ship, It's actually an Easy Thing to Buy
a Basic or Advanced Refinery, Upgrade it to Blue or Purple Tier, and just Store It at the 'Floating Storage' for Items and Weapons you can Access at ANY Station-

You just make a few runs back to a Station with the Lacewing (or Any Ship), doing some
Light Mining, build up a Nice Sized Pile of Ores, anywhere from 10-100, then Swap Out say, your Warp Drive, or any 2-3 point sized piece of Equipment, Chill for a bit at the Station, Refine all your Ore, then Swap the Refinery back into Storage and move on to the Next Sector

It basically Functions as if a Station 'Has' a Refinery on it and you would go there to get your Ores Refined- I've always thought EVERY PMC Mining Station at Least should already have a 'Built-In Refinery' on them and just charge you a small amount of Credits to Refine Ore-
You could Refine as much as you want all at once, even 100-1000 Ore, just Type in the Amount Like you would to 'Sell', 'Buy', or 'Destroy' items and BANG- Refined all at once at a small % amount of Credits for the Total Ore Refined- Would be Faster than a Turbo Flux Ship Refinery, but Limited to PMC Stations, which Logically SHOULD HAVE a Built-In Refinery,
as all those PMC Mining Ships ARE going back and forth for SOMETHING- I've actually
Stated as Such before on other Posts- Right now though, Storing a Refinery with your Weapons, Crafting Items, and Equipment, and Accessing it at Any Station
Essentially Functions that way anyway

I'd also Logically Like to see PMC Mining Ships, and Indie Ships Like the Ogre, Taurus, etc,
just Cruising Around and be seen Actually Mining Asteroid Fields- If you're not careful,
other Ships MIGHT Mine Out a Field before you can Clear all of it, or even try to Scoop Up
and 'Steal' Ore, Metal, and Crystals you Crack out of an Asteroid- It would add some more 'Life' and 'Competition' to Mining, as you might start Fighting with certain Over-Aggressive Miners- Way in the Past this might have Affected Resources or the Exp you get for Clearing Asteroid Fields, but for a Long time now both the Asteroid Fields and Debris Fields 'Regenerate' over time, so it wouldn't really be a problem- And we already see Ships
'Hang Out' for a bit at Debris Fields, often as we are Scanning and Scavenging from them- Those Ships aren't actually 'seen' Scanning and Collecting from Debris Fields for themselves
or taking from us, but they ARE going through the motions and behaving that way- I presume on their Level they Indeed Are Scavenging Debris Fields, they just aren't Interfering with us-
If there was some Mining Competition, it would be more 'Direct' but easier to Interact with other Ships in that manner

Sorry, Rambled a Bit there- Basic Advice- Get and Store a Basic or Advanced Refinery
and 'Magically' it will appear that you can access Ore Refining at Any Station
