The upper end of the charging scale on multi-core railguns is where things were problematic, and that took a solid hit, but you can still make'em extremely large and powerful, just not as easily and not quite as ridiculous.
The predefined model isn't bad at all: It was tuned to be just a tiny bit behind a crafted single-core model with a damage booster and APx1, but due to the possibility of finding it in orange it can show superior performance to a non-charging APx1 Overload model (1 core, damage booster).
Flux-fueled crafted charge models will outperform it, but for snap-shot types the orange is a solid mission reward or drop.
Regarding Mass Disruptor: I'm not 100% if we're supposed to say what the breakpoint is just yet for mass (probably okay but I'll err on caution here) but generally speaking: Corvette in low qualities of very heavy armors MAY take slightly more damage from MD, whereas frigates usually have to be on the lighter side AND wearing high quality mass reducing armors to avoid taking more from such weapons.
So while at high levels there CAN be exceptions courtesy of RNG, you can usually safely assume Size 1-3 you deal less damage and 4+ you'll deal increasingly more.
That was the only new aspect I'm still figuring out- Overall it seems the outlook of
Mass Disruption is to give Smaller Ships, especially Solo Ones, a better chance against
Large Ships, even Multiple Large Ships, if you want to Focus and Build On Mass Disruption
The Railgun Changes I was expecting, and even held off for the past Month Upgrading Mine to Blue or Purple Quality, as I knew I'd have to do a Slight Rework and Rebuild, and didn't want to waste using up some Improved Upgrade Kits and Ancient Relics
I understand Railguns were getting Ridiculous with many Players, and they are now much better balanced, while still doing Excellent Damage- I was only using 2, Side-By-Side 2.5 point sized Specially Made Railguns on the front of my Iziko- and Mangling Stations and other Big Ships, even Head to Head vs the Venghi V5 Death Ray Cruisers- and I was waiting to get my Shots Aimed Well and was fine with the Long 7-9 Count Reloads- The Updated Railguns are now MUCH Faster on the Reload and still do Tons of Damage- Whatever Damage Reduction they received I can hardly tell, and Slightly Less Damage + Faster Reload Time is Clearly an Advantage and Upgrade for the Railguns, at Least my 2.5 Sized Ones- Huge 6 point+ Railguns might have been Weakened more, but I never got that Crazy with Railguns
(Massive Beam Cannons now and Plasma Guns- THOSE I go Nuts with
