Fleet Support Ships - Auto Pickup ?

Good day Everyone!

I am a new to the game and still figuring things out...what I am struggling with is how to have my AI control fleet support ships pick-up loot?

Example: My main ship cargo is filled with loot. Yet, there is more loot on the screen. My fleet ships pass over top the loot but don't pick anything up. I even have installed the "loot tractor beam" (I don't recall the module name) on the support ships.

On very rare occasion, I see the support ships occasionally tractoring something into their holds, but I don't know what...until I get back to a station. Nonetheless, they still have mostly empty cargo's while the local area has loot floating about.

I have looked for a Ship-to-Ship transfer system but could not find one...I use Stations for ship-to-ship.

I have tried jettisoning my main ship cargo to the support ship...nope.

I have kited my support ships directly over top the loot...nope.

I have looked through the support ship configuration options...nope.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

I too am wondering this. May be worth adding to the suggestions section if it hasn't been submitted there already. I myself have not found a means to do this either :(

I had a message from the Mod saying that currently Fleet ships cannot directly pick up items. You CAN however dock the ship, load them up and have them haul stuff. hope this helps. :)

Laious has addressed this a few times, and he is working on having Fleet Ships being able to pick up Loot

Functions Like the Collector Beams and having Fleet Ships being able to also Mine are actually pretty recent, just a few months, and from the Mining perspective alone players want Escorts to be able to pick up and collect items- Laious wants this too, add he's working out how to do it, while meanwhile the Huge Aug 3rd Leaving Early Access is almost here

I don't think people realize HOW MUCH Laious has been modifying and improving the game since Last August- I've only been playing for around 14 months and there have been major improvements several times now

So yeah- make the suggestions- I'm sure Laious appreciates the feedback- I know I've personally talked with him in the past about certain features, and He's always been good about responding and making changes and improvements- But I know for sure having Fleet Ships able to pick up Loot and Items is something Laious is working on

Could just have it simple like Mount and Blade Banner lord .. you yourself have in inventory limit..
you can increase that limit from buying horses, the horses increase your inventory limit / carry weight

Could / should be the same in this, the more ships you have in your fleet and the type of ship should increase your inventory limit
