I took this from the wiki star-valor.fandom.com/wiki/Hephaestus.
"Obtained by completing the final quest in the ZiggyD questline, which is begun by going off into the Dead Zone of a Pitch Black sector while you are between levels 15 and 25. Once you do, the Hephaestus warps in and you'll have to defeat it (get is below 1/3rd of its hull) to get the ship and the Ziggy Crew member."
You can try to drag it towards a station to help you fight it, but it's a good idea to try and make a build specifically for beating it. Once you get it to 1/3 health, you get a quest to go to a planet and once you go there, the ship is yours (for free).
EDIT: Sorry forgot to mention. At level 26 it's too late. You'd have to start a new character.
That is a bummer T.T, there is no way I can edit the save file or something to lower my lvl or something?, It would be really cool the Dev add a auto pop up or something telling there is something on dark sectors lurking or something so you don't pass on this by lvl T.T
If its only detrimental to turn it down, why even give the player an option to do so?
oh, btw, I reloaded the save, and when "The Exiled" respawned on my this time it was without ammo. Could it be that the player re-loading the game in a system where the quest is due will cause this bug to happen?
