Enable friendly fire?

I'm honored with the Vengi, and took a mission for the rebels that requires destroying a Vengi ship. However, since I'm honored, they appear as green and don't take any damage from my shots.

How can I destroy that ship to complete the mission?

You can enable friendly fire in the settings I believe. There's also a hotkey for it, but I don't remember it on the top of my head. Isn't it listed in the key binding menu?

target it, Move into range, press F key, they will become red.

This worked, but you can't normally target it - need to hold ALT to target a friendly ship.

Click with cursor, hover over them with cursor (hard to do on fast small ships) there is a separate key for targeting non-hostiles as well, but you may have to cycle, I find the priority for key targeting unpredictable
