How to activate the main quest.

So I've been playing around for a while on a new playthrough, and I can't get the main quest to activate. What is the deciding factor to activate it?

I'm currently allied with CoT and I'm enemies with the aliens. I attack them on sight and I have even knocked down a few of their bases solo. I wondered if I had to assist CoT in a turf war, so I have assisted them in taking down bases too, even let them have the finishing blow at time to time. But I don't get any promt to choose a side, although it should be obvious on who I'm sided with as the aliens now pretty much attack me on sight.

Just wonder if there's a certain thing you need to do to activate the quest. I always get the question to become white collar whenever I trade, So the game isn't entirely broken.

It should've "activated" it when you became honored/allied with the CoT, but it's not working as intended for now. Currently there isn't more content after it, though, so once I add more quests, it should continue where your part is :)

That's weird... I still have that quest in my quest window....

And i don't want to restart a new game, because on sheer accident/luck, i have found THE best warp reactor in the game.... Even better than an orange legendary Andorian warp reactor 😂

Yup, that is a bug, I have had it stay in my quest window on 2 of my current ongoing games .. and err, what is this warp reactor you have found??? do tell haha

Ah, so not just me then.

The warpdrive in question is called the Optronic Warpdrive, which gives at Epic level a w whopping 24 parsecs range, where as a LEGENDARY Orange Andonian drive gives 17.6 parsecks, so a BIG improvement.
