"friendly fire noun 1. weapon fire coming from one's own side that causes accidental injury or death to one's own forces."
Or
"In military terminology, friendly fire or fratricide is an attack by belligerent or neutral forces on friendly troops while attempting to attack enemy/hostile targets."
Seems like those explosions fit the definition. Nobody counts just the shot without also including the damage from the shot. By the explanation you're giving, dropping a bomb on friendly troops isn't friendly fire, if the bomb doesn't land directly onto a person and injure them, but instead explodes and kills everyone. That's exactly friendly fire.
I'd like to actually turn off friendly fire, like the choice in the option menu states is an option. Either that, or don't call it turning off friendly fire, when that's not what it does.
yea.... this doesn't seem like a feature to me. Friendly Fire on explosion is even worse than friendly fire via direct hits... since you could just press the hold fire button,... but the explosions are the real problem with their AOE. This forces me to complety take out my explosion weapons or avoid participating those nice big battle with my allies. It looks like this is pretty much your intention with this "feature". If your crew would be smarter, so they dont shoot in directions where friends are... but no, they are not.
So please, even if it means more work than just turning of colision, give us a third option or just fix friendly fire. Nobody ever who wants to turn off friendly fire thinks: Ah, yea, explosions still hurt my friends, thats a cool feature..... in fact, nobody ever even expects in the first place, that explosions still hurt your friends, if you have the option to turn friendly off!
