Edit Save File to Remove Perk

Hi all,

I am desperately trying to remove the White collar Perk from my save file as I carelessly took this perk in the first couple of hours playing and now I am 55 hours into my play through. I only realized that this perk restricts my ability to participate in the main quest just now and I am not sure I have the strength to start over. Is there any way to remove this perk. Maybe edit the save file or something? I had a look at the save file which is a .dat file and I can see that it will not be as simple as other games. I love this game a lot and was really excited to play the endgame. If anyone can help that would be amazing.
