Help with the "Hoarder" Perk
This is annoying me, as I have Unlocked this Once, but can't seem to do it again

it states-

Hoarder-
Have 40 different item stacks in your ship inventory, while flying a Shuttle or Yacht
Cargo Space +5%

The one time I did it, I THOUGHT I had a Larger Ship, collected 40+ pieces of Equipment in the Inventory Storage Area you access at Stations- Just Equipment, not Weapons, not Crafting Materials and Crystals- I then THOUGHT I swapped out a Shuttle or Yacht and the Hoarder Perk activated

But I also recall it took a few tries that one time I got Hoarder as well- so maybe it really is having 40 stacks in a Ship's CARGO- items Like Iron, Cobalt, Plastics, Wine, Meat, etc-
If that's the case I maybe did it with a Bolder, a Yacht with a Lot of Cargo Space, because I was trying to shove a bunch of items in a Speeder, and it filled up too fast, and swapping to a Speeder with a Large Equipment Storage Inventory isn't working either

So anyone have some advice on helping me get Hoarder again?
Is it the static Equipment Inventory at Stations?
Or the Cargo Space of a Shuttle or Yacht?

I'm thinking it's the Cargo Space, and I'm just not using the right ship- the Bolder will probably do it, but then I need to buy up 1 each of a bunch of tradable items, and maybe Battle Comps and such which have a Space Usage of 0 - but I'm getting tired trying to get Hoarder again- wasted around 3 Hours Last Night trying to figure it out, would appreciate if someone could confirm what exactly "ship inventory" refers to before I waste a few more hours

Thanks for any help or insight

Note that it says "item stacks", not "items". Your best bet is trade goods (and 0 space equipment) - they take up little room, especially ammo. And because it's "stacks" you can buy ammo and other goods from multiple stations, so they don't stack.

You can probably do it buying 1 of each ammo from multiple stations.

0 space items such as computers, flux capacitor and such count. Different rarities count as new stacks. crafting materials count, ammo counts. It all needs to be in your cargo hold. Tradable items in different stacks due to different buy prices count as separate stacks. Such as 1 of each ammo type from every station you visit.

When you swap ships the contents of your cargo doesn't swap to the new ship.

If I start with a shuttle and then take a yacht that doesn't fit or something bigger, I'll get a "Rokkuita" later. It costs a little over 7000 credits.

Has enough cargo space, and meanwhile there are several items that are smaller than 0.5, and you have them early, so it's even faster since the crafting update is available.

OK, back playing since Last Night, and yep, I am an Idiot Twice Now
I did the same thing the other time I Unlocked Hoarder- Built up a HUGE stack of Equipment in my Player Inventory, and it wasn't necessary

Got a Bolder, filled it with 1 each of Trade Goods and some other items with 0 and 0.5 space all just in the regular Ship Cargo, and the Hoarder Perk clicked right on- didn't even have to Leave the Station

So now that I went through this TWICE, I will never ever forget again- it's so dang easy to get Hoarder once you figure it out

So thanks everyone, for Clueing me in to what I had partially guessed, and just plain forgot from the first time I did it

sidenote- WeaverSong, I'm also using YOU as my Special Crewmate on this current Game Profile with a Taurus- You have an excellent Crew Avatar, and while I can see it's mostly meant to Buff up smaller Fighter Ships or Corvettes for the +20% weapon boost and torpedo bonus- it also does a great job Boosting the Mining Laser Grid on the Taurus as well as the weapons- so Extra Thanks besides all the good advice you give out to us all
