Jettison Cargo

Are there any plans to introduce the ability to jettison cargo while in space. Picture the scenario your on your way back from an encounter with a deadly foe, cargo hold full of valuables you see an ancient relic flying past but you cant pick it up due to lack of space "bummer".
But wait I can jettison some cargo, collect the relic, upgrade the ship and pick up my floating cargo "yay" and still make it home in time for cornflakes.

Could also be used to force ships to drop some of their cargo if your playing as a pirate.
Or indeed ai pirates could request you drop some of your cargo instead of them blowing the excrement out of you. :)

yeah this would be good feature. if you have full cargo when finishing a mission you cannot choose a reward and you have to press esc to cancel which cancels the mission if im not mistaken meaning all your work was for nothing

Hitting ESC wont cancel your hard earned mission completion.

Correct, exc will close the window without canceling the mission. But I agree, a "wait" button would be nice.
