Screamer

I am pretty new to this, but I ran into a green ship called a screamer. I couldn't hail, it, couldn't collect it, and destroying it did nothing. I feel like I missed out on something. Tips?

You can use a tractor beam to tow it to a station, if you do, the ship will be yours. If there is no station in the sector, you can only collect it if you have a bigger ship to store it in the cargo.
