is this game still active? forum seems fairly desolate...

Population growth is insane. By turn 100 I have +130 people per turn. All those people need housing, food, and I can't keep up. Satisfaction dropped into negative values, and I had an angry mob of 937 peasants rioting. I hired a few stacks of mercs and killed about 1400 of my population. Now things are manageable again, but I still can't keep happiness above 20% Any tips for beginners in this situation?...

Anyone has the bug where you open the trade menu for the first time, and then you can no longer open it up? Is there a way around it? Also, how do you merge stacks? And, how do you send a hero on a quest?

I've run through about 3 civilizations that have all died due to starvation because I can't seem to find a tile that will allow me to build a Field. Am i missing something or do i just have crazy bad luck?

So I build a lumberjack camp in a forest. A few turns later I realized that forest was blocking my most prime avenue of expansion so i chopped it down. Tile is now a plains but I couldn't build houses or a farm there.
