Finished the game. Questions, remarks, suggestions.
I have just finished the game. It brings back the childhood memories even if it's not the 100% copy of the original. There might be few features lacking like old animations + missing sleeping animation, oldschool menu but these are not vital. I'd rather see more polished and better working menu instead.

I've got several questions.
- What is the goal of "Remote access" achievment? It's the only one I haven't completed. I guess it's not just about detonating the floppies with the terminal.
- How does the leaderboard work? Is it just about fast time no matter what level? Are the individual levels considered, number of tries?
- Is the multi-infotron explosion and other glitches possible?

As for suggestions.
- Can we somehow hide the menu with floppy and infotron counts? It's in the way sometimes.
- Maybe we could use more levels of the speed parameter, I am sure people could handle that.
- I guess there could be more interesting achievments like beating time in specific levels (eg. lvl 2, 41 or even 111 or using some sort of shortcut, different way to beat the level or just something like getting all infotrons in the levels where it's not needed.
- The leaderboard could be more detailed, more competetive, maybe even with replays and such. It gives zero information now and I know nothing about top1 score.
- And for the last one, the craziest one. I wish we could make custom levels and download and rate them on steam workshop, that would be truly amazing but I guess thats unrealistic, not worth.

Thanks much for bringing the game to steam. I love it.

"Remote access" I got after accidentally eat away first terminal (I don't remember, but methinks there are no yellow floppies in that level)

I'd like to know about the leaderboard too, what this strange single number means.

Yes, you need to "eat away" the terminal, by holding a button. Can be dine in first level.

Multi-infotron explosion, you mean this?

I second your ideas Morko,

I have noticed that playing on the fastest speed does effect your top score as i played through on the original game speed, then thought I'd run through it again on the fastest speed and my rank flew up, went from 178th to 12th.

Then thought I'd push hard on the really quick stages [Quicky, One] and managed to push myself to 9th [Haven't finished the game yet only at lvl 100 so i think i can get myself to 8th or 7th.

I cant see myself getting near the top 4 [did they do the DLC stages maybe?], id really like to see a top 10 list for each stage so i have a target to reach. Super Meat Boy is a good example to go from.

Thanks for the Supaplex remake, Fantastic Job.

Leaderboard algorithm takes every level completed, get level completion time, calculate scores for level (the faster level is completed, the more scores level get); sum score of all completed levels, pushes score to steam leaderboard. So, to get higher score in leaderboard, you can re-run some levels for smaller completion time (on faster speed maybe) and/or complete more levels.

Possible every glitch/trick original supaplex was able to produce (multi-infotron explosion, ride on explosions, bark on electrons, etc.).

We will be seriously thinking about replacing current menu button with separate bar on top or bottom of screen.

We could add few more levels of "slowness", however the fastest speed cannot be any faster without visual jitters - it already animated every frame at speed of monitor refresh rate (1/60 of second).

Hmm... Interesting idea!

Thanks much for answering my questions.
I still haven't received the "Remote access" tho.
I guess I might rerun some of my favourite levels then. So I guess it's a no for custom level creator, right? :D

Great to see the developer addressing players comments and offering potential updates. *thumbs up*

P.S. I need motivation, Morko pass me so i can grind out some maps.

P.S. does the developer play and are they ranked in the leader board? multi changing colour name for the developer on the leader board would be cool, i need to know where they are so i can beat them *RAWR*.
