Report a translation problem
I think it might always be vr. There's really not much way to translate this to mouse and keyboard or even to controller.

mouse movement = head rotation
wasd = walk/run "movement"
arrow keys = lean
obviously interactions with the right and left click
left click = pickup
right click = activate
as a person who plays first person all the time i can't see why this isn't possible
So they would have to highlight items when you fix your gaze at them and pick it up with a mouseclick. To be honest, this takes away a lot of the game and I cant see how it would be interesting. Have you ever tried VR? Some things just dont work in pancake mode.
