Slider Puzzle Art of Murder 2

Does anyone by any chance have a saved game after the slider puzzle in Hunt for the Puppeteer?

Strange, I just tried it with a fresh install of the game on a new hard disk and copied my savegames and they're there in the load menu.

Make sure you're coping JUST the save games files. So in the ZIP you downloaded, you need to double click the "Art of murder" folder and copy all the individual saves. If you're just extracting the one folder then it won't work.

@gledster thank you so much for your save files - my game crashed when i picked up the photo on the mantelpiece! Thanks for also making one after the slider puzzle, I am terrible at them!

you know, I got to that part on Monday and I was able to solve it following the guide of divide and conquer

I think the empty space is somwhere in the middle, so you just do the upper and left side, and once it is done do a line that can be completed 3 vertically and 3 horizontally.

Yay, will never be stuck ona slider again.

thank you so much Rising for this helpful reply but i beat art of murder 2 a week after this was posted. sorry i didnt get back to you sooner but thankful for not seeing another slider puzzle in the last game.

Slider puzzle was a pain in the butt especially when the game crashes. Here is a tip on slider puzzle. You can complete the left side first before you try to complete the right side as you are holding the missing piece on the bottom left. You do not have to move 1/4 any side of the puzzle out of position. You finish 1/4 left, then 2/4 left and you can do straight to 4/4 puzzle finish as you have to remember where the 1/4 of the puzzle on the right should go.

For anybody else who gets stuck there is a very useful guide here, having been stuck for a couple of days following the 4x4 steps I finally managed to do it.

You need to re-imagine the final 3x2 bit as the hole is in a different place, but as the guide says the movement options are limited so it's not too difficult to work out.
