is it worth spending the money on the game? does it really ad anything? from what i've seen it's just a ton of weapons n new skins

are they even worth buying? i've not seen much coverage of the update besides people saying athlena? is the most broken charecter in the game

i personally have much more fun with the ultimate add-on but it's up to you to decide

If you mean you already own the original game on steam then no at full price admittedly the ultimate upgrade pack isn’t worth it as it doesn’t add enough content and infinity mode ends up being lacklustre due the small goals needed to complete each stage not making it interesting till you unlock the final tower Ophiuchus which only lasts 5-10 floors though when you complete you restart the Ophiuchus tower from the 1st floor again with new randomised goals but there really isn’t enough to keep it fresh made worse by the fact how grindy it is this time due to the amount of treasures you need to collect to craft a level 5 weapon.

Story wise also is not worth it due to a rushed story with not many ultimate stages which even involves you repeating stages from the original to progress further with the ultimate story.

Promotions are back but due to no difficulty adjustment the extra levels only serve you in Ophiuchus tower besides that you’re overpowered in anything else you play so no it’s just not Athena but any character really though due to hyper attacks with the absorption weapon skill it gives the Samurai Warriors characters a edge over the rest of the cast in my opinion.

Another reason it’s not worth full price also is due to the fact it doesn’t include the season pass from the original game either so if you don’t have that you still don’t own the full game which is a bit absurd so if your still missing that then we’re already passed the point of me saying buy another Samurai Warriors or Dynasty Warriors game you don’t own yet.

When it comes to steam deals with it I think you’ll be out of luck as I don’t think it really ever gets much of a discount so to be honest so if you own a either PS4/Xbox One/Switch you’re better of getting it for that as at this point you can buy the full game of the ultimate version for about a fifth of the price of the steam version.
