Can't Access the free costumes

So I realise the free bonus costumes for early purchases were only made free supposedly up to the 20th of Feb or something. And yet for some reason they're still listed as free on the Steam Store. Any attempt to obtain them though with the Download button just launches the game.


Anyone have any ideas? Really do want to try and get that Gaia costume, pretty cute stuff...

maybe re dl the gaia costume to enable the rest or somethin? i don't have gaia myself yet i can use the 3 free costumes no problem

They are listed as free because they were free. They were activated automatically when you buy Ultimate.

Additional requirements are listed on their page:

FREE FOR A LIMITED TIME
Limited free distribution (until Feb 20, 2020)

So if you are late and bought the game or upgrade pack after Feb 20 you can't activate them anymore. Maybe later they will release paid DLC with same costumes (seems probable) or offer them for free again during some period (I doubt this).

It is normal that Free DLCs have some other requirements that you need to check on store page. It's just that Steam does not have third option to display those DLCs - it can only display Free or its price.

Honestly, if they don't put them back up as paid DLC later on, I'll be super disappointed in KT. You don't lock the actual strongest mount in the game behind an early purchase bonus, that's incoherently anti-consumer, and in a way that doesn't even benefit the company itself.

In my opinion DLC mount shouldn't be the best one. It should have unique visuals but stats should be the same as for the best mount that you can get in game. I have it but I don't use it because it has better stats. If it had the same I would have allowed myself to use it when I unlocked the mount with the same stats in game. So yeah, I agree that it is a bad DLC.

I believe they will make it paid DLC as they did for Unicorn and Pegasus.

Oh yeah, it'll still be lame if they make you pay for it, but I'd much rather have "buy the game now or pay for extras later" than "buy the game now or miss out on extras forever". And I don't see any good reason for Koei to not also want the former, especially since their vagueness on whether it'd be available later probably didn't encourage any extra sales.
