Bought the PS4 Pro and PC Version - Difference is UNREAL!

I can't get over how much better this game is on PC, it's truly galaxies apart from the PS4 Pro version. My PC specs:
i7-8700k, 32GB RAM, 1080ti, and Asus D2X with Windows 10 Professional.

I'm easily able to play in 3840x2160 with every setting on high with 60FPS, without the slightest drop, this game is a gazillion times better optimized than DW9.

Whatever you do, DO NOT BUY THIS FOR CONSOLE, if you have a nice PC. I always prefer to game on PS4 Pro or Xbox One X for these types of games, or legacy consoles for the older titles. EVERYTHING is better on PC, first thing I noticed was the sound, the PC version's sound is immensely more intense and realistic, the difference is truly remarkable, I was really surprised, just shows what a dedicated sound card can do vice the onboard solution on the PS4.

Colors, textures, and overall character and foliage density and detail are so much better on PC. The PS4 Pro version is a mess in all actuality, the characters also appear to be much smaller on the PS4 version, everything looks smaller and anemic in comparison, using the same monitor for both, LG 32UD99. Whatever you do Koei, don't gimp the PC version with any types of patches going forth, like you did with DW9, this game looks and plays spectacular, don't screw it up.

PS4 does run great, I unlocked a 132 characters playing on it, never had a single issue - other than it looking like the PC version on medium or lower settings.

Huh, is that using the in-game settings, or something external like an .ini? I'll have to check in-game again, first time I booted it up, wouldn't go above 1080p even though my display is 1440p. I didn't bother checking again as I had no other issues - game's running fine on my machine so I guess I luckily avoided the issues some people're having.

In game settings - resolution change. If you check it now, you should see 1440p, for whatever reason, you have to exit out and restart the game and then you get the maximum resolution.

No on is calling you a liar, however, I also have a 1080 Ti and you're not getting 60 FPS with everything maxxed. I have always had PM at prefer maximum, and I over ride the games vsync. Still, constant 60 FPS outside of the menus seems stretched.

Fair enough, just downloaded the newest Nvidia drivers and can see slower performance dipping from 60 into the lowest mid 40's now, not a huge difference and for the most part I can't tell, because it happens in very small segments, though for whatever reason, older drivers were better. One of the reasons I only update my drivers (graphics card) 2-3 times per year.

i just set the particles to low that made the biggest difference for me kept everything else high usually when going ham on magic it would dip but with it on low i get like a dip to like 57 luckily gsync cleans it up pretty nice

Yeah Pc is better pc is better then why this game lags like hell on some stages and on PS4 it has no lag. Answer poor port.

PC has the potential for vastly better hardware. It also has the potential for vastly more bugs due to wide variation in hardware; drivers; and other software that is actively running.

So it's a toss up.

Both have their strengths. E.g. the pick-up-and-play factor is one of the console strengths.




And really; when it boils down to it, I would gladly trade in some visual fidelity on this type of game for the rush of playing it on my whopping-big living room TV with proper full volume 5:1 audio from the comfort of a plush sofa.

Even better while co-oping with a friend next to me and a few beers at hand.

Yeah the PC is definitely the visual better of the platforms, which is super surprising with a Koei game, and you don't need a huge beefy computer, a 1060 would be more than enough to run almost max settings, you might need to make a slight adjustment here and there but it still looks leagues better than the consoles from the video's Ive seen. I'm probably gonna pick this up this weekend.

Sorry but I'm more inclined to believe someone that owns the game then a level 0 private account that doesn't even own the game, also Ive seen the vids and even I can tell the difference is noticeable.

The only thing I miss from the console in this new installment is some extra modes that WO3Ultimate had to get Growth, Exp and Items, and also the guest characters from Dead or Alive. But as far as graphics is concerned, I'm impressed, it's definite and absolutely the best a "Warriors" game ever looked.

Belive in what you want I dont care. I have the game on both PC and PS4 too. I have gtx 1060 OC 8GB and the game runs like crap! Even with settings toned down.

Not sure why that it is, particles are a huge thing with these games, turn it down and you should see a nice jump, it's the one thing that seems to effect FPS most.

Yes I did this and still lags on sometimes I hope they make a patch :)

BTW I purchased DELUXE EDITION on PSN Store and it does not allow me to download the new DLC or the Season Pass- wants me to buy it...
