If you are really struggling and can't grind through it learning the patterns you can use cheat engine (google it) to just slow the game down slightly to make it feel more manageable. Just 0.85x would give you a little more reaction time
With scavenger, you can get hp bonuses from those little mice in the previous stage, so it's almost impossible to go to last stage without full hp, and the pretzel attacks can be negated by the energy barrier.
Somehow, I didn't have a shield during first tries - I didn't replay earlier levels, but went through them after getting stuck and got the shield, and that also makes quite a difference. As long as you can avoid depleting it, it's good. And you can try using the energy barrier once shield is depleted to let it regenerate (bring anti matter generator).
What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ PIECE OF ♥♥♥♥. It unlocked the achievement even yet ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ kills me during the cutscene?
Jets N Guns 1 was much better without all these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying multi-stage bosses. It should continue at the stage you just finished instead of making you replay the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss over and over again. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying.
Someone please tell me how to cheat past this.
at his state right now beer boss is killable, it's on his release that it had abusing btreztzel killer but now he's far more than doable even on first playthrough...

Edit: So when Mission Complete appears and you lose control of the ship, you become invulnerable. It's hard to believe this isn't working. Nobody else reported this bug.
Could it be there was a second of time before the mission complete kicked in, and the death of the boss and I died between that time?
Either way, I was able to beat it by following the advice above x30n and h3 above so now this just a post about my frustration
My boner could not be more stiff
Happened to me too. Died at basically the same time I killed the boss. Got the success prompt, and immidietly the failure prompt. The game should prioritize victory before defeat imo.
Normaly i have nothing against such multistage bosses BUT a big issue is when using autoaim the weapons always go for the "Main target" of a Boss so that many hits are wasted cus the section that currently needs to be hit is ignored entirely as "aimable" target and shots simply hit the hull of the bosses that don´t take dmg at all.
