Please keep fixing bugs

First off I'm not a hater jumping on a angry bandwagon , I know there have been many negative reviews lately but I've been excited for this new DLC and I greatly appreciate it being free but more than anything I'm worried for the future of this game.

I love this game , I've got multiple playthrus , 130+ hours and I just played another 2 hours to test things after the DLC release , in that short time I encountered several bugs , a new player would most likely give up and refund at this point.

I had a stuck in place bug that is reproducible in dew cave , when approaching the first stone to release water if you approach from the right side rather than the bottom you will become stuck in place , this bug has existed for a few years now so it was the first thing I tested. This isn't the only place it can happen either this type of bug would stop a new player from playing.

Before that though I encountered a new bug with "Monster moves" screen that opens after battle when you learn a new move, it opened as normal after combat but it opened again when I tried to save the game, and again when I tried to access the monster box at the farm. It went away after closing and opening the screen again thankfully.

Speaking of the monster box I've heard people say they experienced a bug of monsters disappearing so I tested that, my monsters get sent to the box as normal when the party is full but the box itself is messed up as you can see in this screenshot https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3158194341

I'm not sure if the box is supposed to be this large , if it is, then the problem seems to be the edge of the screen is wrong, the box goes off screen 2 squares (perhaps those peoples monsters are hidden off screen).

I also noticed the first floor of the players house seems to have the left side clipped too small cutting off half of the bed and chest , changing resolution doesn't fix it so maybe a bigger issue with resolution is behind both things.

Lastly during the quest to save your father the game froze entirely when I tried to open the menu to save the game and I had to alt F4, at that point I stopped.

I know there have been several issues preventing bug fixes, some health issues with the developer and some issues with how updates work on nintendo switch but seeing a new DLC without seeing these old bug issues addressed has me scratching my head.

I realize fixing bugs is different than making new content, Maybe the dlc was already being worked on or maybe it is hard to get motivated to do the tedious work bug fixing but without those bug fixes people won't be able to play at all.

The DLC release mentions this is the final "content update" but I hope there will still be bug fixes in the future.

It would be a huge disappointment and I think a lot of people would be turned off from buying a new game if this one still has game breaking bugs when the other is released.

Happy to say after the patch today the monster box issue seems to be fixed.

Honestly, I'm one of those new players Radiowavehero mentioned. Had this game on my wishlist for a while, and a friend who had Humble Choice was going through his games from that and gave me the code. That is literally the only reason I have not refunded it.

The basic gameplay is fine, but it's a buggy mess and the UI is terrible and off-center. The resolution option don't make sense, either. Honestly, this feels like it should be in Beta, not release.

I'm still willing to give it more of a chance. I do love me some monster collector games, and I could see this being fun after some bug fixes and polish, but in its current state I absolutely would not recommend it to anyone unless they're getting it for free, and even then their hard drive space and time would probably be better dedicated to something else.
