Post Game Content + Lucifer Fight Help? Spoilers!
I believe that I may have finished most of the current post game content, and I wish there was more. I defeated the three kings, have explored all of Hell, and have even done the mirror world. I’ve caught all the monsters in the Duchess’s inner sanctum, and am currently wondering if I missed anything. I know there’s that mask boss in Hell, and I was wondering if anyone has gotten the irreversible visual effect that it’s rumored to cause to your monsters?

I’ve also heard that you can fight Lucifer in the ocean somewhere. I’ve spent a good while exploring the sea, but I haven’t seen anything besides the usual encounters. I think there’s also supposed to be an Ocean Beast or something roaming around. Does anyone have any information about the Lucifer fight, the mask boss, the Ocean Beast, or any other post game content I may have missed? I’m playing the Switch version.

I really love this game, but I think I made it too easy on myself by using the gene lab to breed high stats into my monsters. I feel like the only challenge I had was the three kings and the end boss of the mirror world, and even those fights weren’t too tough. It’s a shame I reached this point already; I wanted more to explore. Don’t misunderstand me… the post game continent was fantastic. I just wish it had been a bit tougher. Anyways, any information on the Lucifer fight or other things I may have missed would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if it's intentional or a bug to be fixed in the future.

Lucifer and Mayhem (the ocean beast roaming around) both have a 25% spawn chance each in-game day.

Lucifer has three different spawn chances, the first would be going south from Hewston, right as the map changes from Crown Island to Hell you want to stop and then start heading left, along the way you may get that first encounter, the second will be along the same path but continuing on all the way to the left, basically when your location is near the currency icon. The last one will be on the border of the Hell map in the center, near the cove. Lucifer isn't meant to be captured (Switch version had a bug that enabled it but I'm not sure if it was patched out yet) but all you have to do is fight him and after a certain amount of damage the fight will end and you will get an egg. It will be one of three monsters, one you could obtain before, one you have seen someone else own, and one that hasn't been seen yet in-game.

Mayhem will spawn moving from right to left along the north border of the Hell map, so it can spawn in the same place as Lucifer so you may get a 2 for 1 deal on one lucky day. Anyways you will know you've seen it as it shows up as a large shadow in the water (kind of looks like a Wailmer shadow), you have to interact with it in order to trigger the fight.

While this doesn't relate to the original question I am curious on if you know anything about it as you've mentioned capturing all the monsters in the inner sanctum. I've heard rumors that the Sentry monster, Hymeraden, can be found within the inner sanctum. I've spent hours searching for it but have had no sight of it showing up, have you found it inside there at all?

Thank you very much for the information. I still haven't encountered Lucifer or Mayhem, but I guess I'll keep trying. In response to your question, when I said I'd captured "all" the monsters, I just mean't the backer/cameo/unique ones that were in the inner sanctum. Sorry, I never ran into Hymeradon. Admittedly, I didn't spend a ton of time there. I just kept at it until I began to encounter repeat monsters.

Ah, well that is unfortunate, I was really hoping to find out whether Hymeraden actually is available or not, but at this point it sounds more likely that it still has yet to be available, and the rumor was simply just that, a rumor.

Here's hoping it doesn't take too long to get those encounters.
