It is possible, but the brilliant effect can't be seen when you choose as those are static images.

You won't be able to tell until the next scene when you and your parents are looking at it in the house.

Im wondering if egg breedings can be shiny too. I have a shiny/brilliant but he/she cant breed shiny eggs( it would be too easy maybe) but its interesting because you never know what colour the baby is gona get.

It's possible for brilliants to appear in eggs I manage to get a brilliant canite from a egg in the field. So the 1/1000 also applies to monsters that will hatch. But you won't know if it's a brilliant till it hatches.

It's funny, last night I got a brilliant in the field and 5 minutes later got another brilliant from a wild egg, so far all the brilliants I've got are trash tier compared to what I have and can breed.
