I chose Darwhal because it was recommended to me. I would have chosen Ambigu otherwise, but one can actually get that with the game currently available.

I chose Hooclaw, because it's gaze strikes fear into its enemies

Hooclaw! I always have a soft spot for dark/ominous/"evil" monsters in games like this, and I guess some elements of it's design vaguely reminded me of Zubat, which is my favorite Pokemon. I think I like it even more than Zubat, though!

I almost went with Ambigu, but I just couldn't resist Hooclaw :) and luckily, Ambigu is pretty easy to get!

Yeah he was pretty cute. Almost chose him because my tag "Sea" and I usually like to incorporate water/beach themed things

Maybe I would have picked Hooclaw if I had known that you can catch Ambigu pretty easily later on in this version, but I dont regret it.

I decited to use Carnite, honestly it wouldn't have been my first choice, but I wanted to go with what the game suggested for once. It's not so bad.

I remember that I planned to choose Ambigu (the slime) and otherwise Hoclaw.

I was really drawn to darwhal's design, but since I will probably restart on release I went with what the game recommended and started with carnite. Carnite does have really cool crossbreed designs, though!
