Food Is rough what should i eat

I make lots of meat and veggies and u have to eat like 20 pieces of cooked meat to fill ur bar is there anything better to fill ur bar to eat?

There are lot of other Food that provide more then Fire charred meat or Veggies, It Depends how far you are in the Cooking tech and what ressources you have.
The best should be Meat and mushroom Stew.
Charred meat gives you 8 and the Stew 40.

Faedrill is absolutely correct, but there's a small detail I would also like to add - higher level foods also offer various buffs to your character, so there's an extra benefit to using them, not just that they fill your food meter faster.

Hi,

I find the food part annoying, i need to eat so much to stay full... Like sadly almost all "survival" games, eating 3 cows per day seems mandatory... Also the decay is not fun...

This is mostly a problem in the early game as later on you can gather and grow plenty of food (and store stuff in fridges and even freezers). So by reaching Tier 3 player is usually not worried about the food meters but about getting some special food that will give you one of three food-related status effects (one of which provides a bonus to skill XP and LP gain speed; another makes you stronger; and third raises your max health and provides few other bonuses).

Regarding the decay—unfortunately, it's required to prevent the game world on the official servers from overcluttering with abandoned bases, otherwise, we will get tons of reports from unhappy players when they simply cannot find a spot to build a base.
For the demo players, the decay is reasonably short (about 2 days 8 hours (+24 hours for the decay process when the land claim loses its structure points before disappearing but can be repaired)).
For the game owners, Tier 1 land claim will decay over 4 days and 16 hours (+24 hours), but you can upgrade to higher tiers very quickly. Tier 2 will last 7 days, Tier 3 — 8 days, Tier 4 — 10 days, and Tier 5 will last almost 15 days (+24 hours as usual). The game clearly informs the player about the actual decay duration in the land claim menu.
On the private servers, the default decay duration is much longer, and for the local server it's disabled completely.

Could you increase the decay time for food? it's really fast even in the fridge

@Zweihander, it depends on the food type. Some are perishable and don't last long and some are very long-lasting even without the fridge (e.g. jerky). There is a freezer in Tier 4 that can help you store even the perishable food!
Please note that it's perfectly fine to eat the food with the yellow freshness level (only red level may incur nausea unless you've got an artificial stomach implant).
