can anyone link me a list of items that can be used for mulch?

You mean how to create it?

You just build the mulch box and then drop any organic inside.
Saplings, leaves, rotten food (in fact any food), ash, any plants, berries, etc.

Basically anything organic that would rot quickly :)

ash does not go in there anymore it seems :/
It was the only item that we always had in bulk to make mulch but for some reason it does not let me place it.

Hm, you are right, sorry, I forgot that we changed it.
Well, you can still place there any organic to get the mulch :)

:( but the ash was the perfect item for it
