Donkey Kong Country? More like Jazz Jackrabbit....

I'm so confused, I looked through the reviews of this game and everyone, literally everyone, says its a tribute to "Donkey Kong Country"...

uhh, did none of y'all play JAZZ JACKRABBIT?

Anyway I haven't bought this game but I probably will as I was brought up on Jazz Jackrabbit. No shade to DKC btw, I'm just wondering why this is being labelled as a DK-inpired game and not a Jazz-inspired game -- is there something I'm missing here?

How did you get the idea, because you play a rabbit? People are refering to the leveldesign when they compare it to DKC, not the look. Jazz Jackrabbit feels much more different.

You'll need to play to understand the DKC inspired. It's about the mechanics on it not about the bunny.

Eh. Kaze is a lot more DK-inspired than Jazz.

Even though Jazz did fly with his ears in Jazz Jackrabbit 2, and the main character in Kaze and Jazz are both Hare's. Kaze shares quite a lot more in common with Donkey Kong Country.

I'd go into more detail, but I have played Jazz 1 and 2 quite a lot more (hundreds of hours more, really) than Donkey Kong, and believe me, Kaze doesn't share much in common at all with Jazz.
