The game:
Kaze and Hogo stumble upon an overgrown structure, upon walking inside they see a glowing artifact at its center. Kaze reaches for the artifact, the energy protecting it blows her away. An entity reaches out from the artifact and and frees itself by imprisoning Hogo in its place inside the ring.
The entity powers up and blasts the temple, blowing the pink crystals and Kaze away. Kaze is protected by Hogo, and lands on a distant island. The entity sends a shard of their own power to each other island.
Kaze immediately starts her journey back to the temple in an attempt to save Hogo, discovering that the islands are plagued by monsterfied fruits & vegetables - making her quest now a mission to save all islands.
Kaze defeats Mother Mona and discovers its empowered crystal, the magical storm coming from the temple diminishes. Upon defeating Mother Mona, the inhabitants of the island help Kaze traverse onto the next island. Kaze follows her path until she reaches the temple once more.
The ending:
Kaze defeats the weakened entity, an ancient rabbit usurper named Typhoon. The pink crystals in the temple are strong enough to banish Typhoon as she'd not only lost the ring but also split her power among the bosses Kaze defeated. As Typhoon is banished, all monsters return to their edible forms and all islands rejoice. However, Hogo remains trapped within the ring.
Continued ending (good ending):
After defeating Typhoon, Kaze continues her journey across the islands until she recovers all of the temple's pink crystals. After placing every crystal back in the temple, the energy within them resonates to break the ring's imprisonment magic, setting Hogo free.
The great rabbit sage and each animal nation's hero work together to uncover the secrets of their world. In one of his expeditions, the rabbit sage finds an occult scroll and decides to hide it away. The art also shows each nation's culture & some minor events.
The rabbit sage returns to training rabbit monks - two prominent pupils rise up from the crowd, one an extremely talented pupil, displaying extreme degrees of talent and ambition to uncover the secrets and powers of this world... the other a pretty alright and chill person, highly empathetic and caring despite their clumsiness.
The rabbit sage falls ill and decides that the caring pupil will be their successor as the rabbit sage. Outraged by this decision, the talented pupil, Typhoon, steals the sage's staff and immediately connects her own powers to the staff & ring's occult powers.
Typhoon wages war against all animal nations, seeking absolute submission. The nations are barely holding it together, when the old rabbit sage decides to uncover the contents of the occult scroll. The scroll describes powerful rituals from a long lost civilization - including a ritual to channel unimaginable levels of power into a special ring.
The ritual involves channeling multiple individuals' wills through beacons of hope. Statues representing each nation's hero are raised across the islands and the ritual begins. The vast majority of rabbits sacrifice themselves, manifesting their will physically as pink crystals. The heroes also resign their lives to the ritual, condensing their power into ethereal masks and serving as catalysts.
Through the power of this ritual, the animal nation's wills reach the power in the ring that Typhoon was tapping into and use it to pull and imprison her inside. The remaining animals raise a temple to contain the forbidden artifacts & crystals.
With the power ring, Kaze is able to find pieces of powerful green crystals sealed within portals that hide dangerous challenges. Kaze continues to travel and free crystals from their seals, collecting all their halves and joining them together.
Unbeknownst to Kaze, upon collecting all of those crystals, an unknown power awakens deep within the underground - from within the same statue where long ago the rabbit sage found the occult sealing ritual.
Kaze awakens an ancient evil, loses her best friend and starts working on fixing that
ending:
Kaze saves the world from her own mess, friend's still missing.
good ending:
Kaze collects about 3100 rabbit souls and they go "alright, we'll free your friend".
yellow prologue:
rabbits & cool people die to bring an end to rabbit infinite war.
green ending:
Kaze awak...
I just wish this game were longer/hope they make a sequel. Good stuff!
it hits the DKC2 vibes very well, with the 2 character swapping for various moves ( liek DK and Diddy , or Dixie )
