Skip the intro?

Any known way to skip the longish intro and get straight to loading a savegame? This was possible for every previous Lego Batman game and even Marvel Super Heroes.

I don’t think you can. I thought maybe it’s covering a load time for the game being larger than previous ones that did let you skip. There’s another LEGO game that doesn’t allow skipping the intro as well, but I can’t think which one. Maybe The Force Awakens or The Incredibles.

Yes you can, but not at the very first,. At the right corner, it should say Hold ... To Skip.

What is the key / button / combo to press to get that? I'm using a wired X360 controller.

It should tell you, because it's in purple letters

I think the original poster means for the main opening animation where the Joker is stealing stuff from Wayne Enterprises. The intros to each level can be skipped as you say, but I don’t think the main intro can. Or can it? At any rate, on the Xbox controller, I keep tapping the B or A button until the message to skip by holding down Y shows up, then I hold it until the letters all turn purple.

Yes, I am referring to the main game intro sequence. I can skip all the pre-level cutscenes just fine.

I'm guessing that the cutscene had to be unskippable per contractual obligations between the companies that published it
