Only difference is I tried restarting the game from the main menu and starting new stages only to be told the other player is busy, when I'M the only player!
And there was another instance where I needed to use Mirror Master for something, when you first meet him, and I couldn't switch to him either! Again, had to restart the checkpoint.
And by "Can't switch" to those characters, I mean I press Y hundreds of times, I press RB thousands of times, and it never switches to them. It just cycles through all the other characters. And speaking of using RB to switch character, sometimes it doesn't work. I would say it works about 75% of the time.
One of my friends was talking about how you can tell there was a lot of love put into the Lego games, but this is proof to me that there was very little love put into actually developing it. These games have always been glitchy, but this is the worst I've seen. I also had a crash while using the sneaky mode to find something hidden in the ground.
The list of glitches I've had in my relatively small 7-hour period of play is staggering and almost laughable. From major ones like that crash I just talked about, to annoying ones where I need to restart from checkpoints to progress, to the more minor stuff, like text in the menu being overlaid with text in the game. Big or small, these glitches are really hurting my perception of the quality of this game. It has been a blast so far, but the issues do pervade.
Okay, here are some of the glitches I've experienced.
Level one. Yeah. The laser wouldn't move and I couldn't get past the first room. Restarted, eveything went fine.
Ivy and Harley- the tracking problem everyone else seems to be having. Got past it though
The Arkam Asylum level - two glitches in this one, one was where you had to pull the lever with livewire, got stuck on the table thing and couldn't move, restart
Fighting Monster Man, couldn't move from the second plaform near the ladder for the last hit. Restart.
No glitches since then but I'm sure there will be more of them....
I got it on Xbox.
