As the game progresses countries will gain better defense (the more equipment they buy from you the better their defense becomes) from zombies, some, to the point that they can eliminate small zombie outbreaks by themselves automatically.
The game was originally developed as no-win 'how many days can you last before the world is overrun by zombies', but as more players asked for an end goal, the destruction of all red mist machines worldwide became the goal to actually win the game. We did not set clearing all current zombies as a goal as the game starts at the very beginning of the apocalypse so it would be far too easy to get to a stage where there were currently no zombies worldwide.
If you have any suggestions on what you would like to see as an end goal you're more than welcome to suggest and we can see if there is traction to it from other players.
Appreciate the feedback.
Perhaps you could leave the mist machines as is; however after eleminating a certain number of them you discover clues as to where the main control unit is which would be an appropriately challenging 'boss' sort of battle.
Perhaps a special one time only mission which has special parameters. Like a paratroop insertion via vulture and no support. Maybe even a stealth sort of situation where if you are discovered before planting the C4 or whatever you automatically lose.
