Treasure Hunter Claire

Treasure Hunter Claire

How does this game fare in the gameplay and story departments
I know it's an H game and that contributes to the price in a way, but how does this game fare in the gameplay, story, and character departments. Not really able to get a clear picture from the reviews.

Or to put it simply, if you take the lewd out of the game is it still enjoyable and worth the price.

Comparing it to others: Meltys Quest and Slave's Sword are engaging storywise and the mechanics of the game (stats, effect of those stats on H-Scenes and options, as well as on Skills and character prompts) are very good and easy to understand. Those games are quite fun for their price without the H-Content. On both I tried out the Virgin experience all the way through.

Treasure Hunter Claire, the virgin experience is not possible. That's okay, except each interaction with Monsters affects your status (not just XP for leveling). There is a section called Help in the in-game menu that explains all these Stats....but it doesn't quite explain how they interact with eachother (and they do) and what paths should be taken if you're seeking a particular type of adventure. For example, The closest path to Virgin. The closest path to deviant. The path of the unwilling. The path of High Karma or Low Karma. High Sub vs High Dom....or the inverse. In fact, I think I'm going to start over and try to keep all my stats as low as possible while keeping my Shyness as high as possible (It can only go down and it goes down FAST). Which is the point, but I prefer keeping my characters from turning into full blown, thirsty sluts until late in the game.

Gameplay: It has a Party option. This is pretty cool. In Meltys Quest and Slaves Sword, you can focus Melee, Magic or both but that's about it. In this game, you can also focus melee or magic or both but you also have different types of weapons that can turn you from speedy, agile rogue (daggers) or a balanced warrior (sword) or a Tank (Axe) or you can primary Magic with a side of melee (Staves ((staffs)).
Armor can also reflect and enhance your class. Armor in this game is rings..
Clothing is not armor but can be leveled up to unlock abilities.
Your character stats can be leveled up individually (HP, Attack, Defense, Magic, etc). To do this, you need to collect semen. But how do you do this without QUICKLY maxing out the Sex related stats? I have no idea. I guess the game wants you to, but then, am I missing out on content that I would have seen if those stats were lower? No idea.

The focus is the H-aspect of it all naturally, but there is gameplay as well. Like quests you can, mosters you can fight, and characters that can join your party that interact with you.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.

The party option is cool because you have characters that can pick up the slack where you lack. So you can have up to 2 companions that you can level. One can be a magic user, the other a tank and you can focus on healing them. Or however you want to build them up. You can buy them weapons and rings (armor). And they learn skills on their own. There's around 6 companions to level so they can be tailored to compliment your own combat style. Meltys Quest and Slave's Sword do not have parties. I bring them up because they are the 2 highest quality games Hentai games using RPG Maker on Steam. For now, they're the golden standard.

I see, thanks for such an in-depth breakdown of things. I found this game when looking for a horror game named "Claire" (Steam actually put this game above it in the search results, At the top actually, Claire was right below it) and it seemed kind of interesting, I was just curious as to whether or not it had enough in it to be good and not just rely on sex alone to get such positive reviews. And I believe it does sound quite interesting from how you word it, guess it's staying near the top of my wishlist. Though perhaps I should check out Meltys Quest first.

Guess I'll mark that as the thread answer now lol.
