achievements not getting unlocked?

i just got over 40 reps and i unlocked prplsqrl but i didn't get the achievements for either :/ is anyone else having this problem? my OS is windows 10 64 bit if that matters

It’s a known issue with the latest build of the game. Many people report that in the latest build, you’re able to unlock only the story-related achievement when you finish the story. I was able to unlock the achievement for adding prplsqrlgirl by downloading an old build through the Steam console.

can i ask how you downloaded an old build through the console? feel free not to answer if it's too complicated though!

Sure! Note that Valve has soft-blocked downloading older builds through the console, so you need to use a third-party tool fifty-six/zig.SteamManifestPatcher (on GitHub) to unblock this.

Once you run the tool, run this command in the console:

download_depot 827290 827291 2836246938566128211

(this will download the 26 March 2019 release build of the game for Windows… for other platforms, you will have to find an appropriate Depot ID and Manifest ID through SteamDB.)

Note that Steam will not show anything in the Downloads page, however the console will notify you once the download is complete, and will provide you with the complete file path to the downloaded folder. And then, as the last step, you have to replace the game files (ones you can find by clicking Manage → Browse local files) with the files you have just downloaded, all through the Windows Explorer.
