Here's hoping that the A.I. will be made more challenging. The A.I. on the highest difficulty is extremely easy to beat with just the first units you have and by the way, I am not a RTS pro or anything, I'm pretty average for a player. In contrast, the A.I. in COH2 is agressive, always makes units and tries to capture ground and push you away. Yes, it does cheat in that game but I doubt that any A.I. in any game can be made so that it can be a substitute to a real human player but at least it should not be such a pushover like in this game. I think the best RTS A.I. is in StarCraft 2 which is a real challenge even for someone who reached upper ranks of Gold years ago in HotS on Hard and a nightmare on the highest difficulty but Blizzard had years and a lot of experience to make thier A.I. to what it is.
Keep the great work and see you in the trenches.
Thank you kindly.
Yeah AI is the hardest part of developing any RTS game and we don't have the resources, experince and expertise that Relic and Blizzard. But we're getting there. In the next update you should notice an improvement. Be sure to give us your feedback :)
And the players "random" choice option?!
Picked this up on opening day, (It speaks to me..) But haven't put much more into it than the few first missions.
i'm a single player campaign sort of person myself; & as such appreciated the effort put into storyline right from the beginning of the game.
Duties called; & I have been unable to put any significant time in front of the PC as relaxation. But I'm pleased to see continued work from the dev team put into the polish of single player campaigns. Too often in the past other titles have left such work back burnered due to PvP considerations by other titles.
We would appreciate if the developers would at least make a statement if this is on a roadmap or not.
I will dive in again for completing the story!
