The thing which I don't understand is my frame rate, when I launched the game, the game was set to High automatically so I left it as it was because I thought that it would run good...
Whenever there are dozens of units, I have like 40 fps. I have Ryzen 5 5500, RX 5700 XT, 16GB RAM, installed on M.2 SSD and I am having frame rate problems in a strategy game.
Pointing out failure isn't whining, and if you think this is a good level of customer support, you should go work for Blizzard or EA or something, they always need fanboi's who will defend bad practice
Our apologies for the downtown. You'll forgive us for not working over the weekend, real lives and metal health come 1st.
To me your respond seems like this:
"Oh, you bought the game and it doesn't work ? Oof, that sucks right ? I will take a look at it after the weekend, now give me a break..."
I just feel like that as long as people pay for the game and an ISSUE like this appears suddenly, it should be fixed immediately or at least be worked on so the people who bought it, can use the service they paid for...
I might get banned from this forum, but that is how I feel about this situation, I am not attacking you or anything, I just think that the response isn't appropriate response...
EDIT: They only mentioned this "and thank you to everyone who has brought this to our attention outside of working hours.", but that doesn't tell you much lol
They didn't mention anything about waiting until the weekend ends...
Also, this really killed me: "We're happy to see so many new players", they are happy about new players, but new players aren't happy about them lol
These little things can really make new people turn away from your games, communication is the key...
Love it :)
You won't get banned for expressing critism so long as it isn't toxic and breaks the Steam forum rules. It's been nice that many other players on our other social platforms have told us not to worry about it and wait til a weekday to fix it. it's good we can have a broad specturm of views here :)
I was working the weekend letting people know about the problem and trying to alert the Dev able to tackle the problem. Unfortuanetly they weren't avaiable. "Dev" is often thrown around term, when it's a team of people with different skills and responsabilties. Server failures can't be solve by simply flicking a switch.
Still I understand your point and frustration. We learn for the future. Thankfully server failures are rare.
I was especially talking about the last sentence, to me it just seemed like an excuse, I know that being a dev is extremely stressful and also mentally hard and many people see them as people who only sit in front of a pc and type codes... It's very hard job, I have an IT school and I probably wouldn't be able to do that kind of job, but...
It just seemed unfair to me because I am guessing that huge amount of new players appeared during the sale which is still active, some of them bought the game for the multiplayer and coop part and they weren't able to play the game which they paid for basically...
Under your steam thread I saw some people talking about refunds also so I guess I am not the only one who see it like this...
I personally don't really care about the multiplayer part, I only bought the game for the singleplayer part, I am playing on Easy and I am getting my ass beat sometimes so playing a multiplayer against someone who is experienced with RTS games, I would vanish very fast from the map...
The only thing which I am really sad about is that my Polania and Rusviet factions didn't give me any rewards because apparently, if you play campaign in offline mode, you won't get anything for some reason.
If servers should go offline again, I will do my best ot make it clear that campaign progession etc will be lost while servers are down.
