Wish I could say better of this game, but sadly I can't - cons outnumbers pros.
I had high hopes for the game myself. Alas...
I have a spare far cry if you want it...got it a while back, before I stopped playing FPS's
Aside from Conquest and skirmish, there is also a cool campaign that is slightly over-the-top, but nice. For this pricetag on sale, it's totaly worth it, it barely costs more than a Mcdonalds burguer. But it should be noted that there are plenty more games out there on sale that's much better than this game here.
In this case, i think you should go ahead and grab it then, it's not like you'll be making a huge mistake if you end up not liking it, not wasting much. If you're into RTS, for this same pricetag I also recommend (when on sale) C&C Tiberium Wars + Kane's Wrath, Man of War Assault Squad 2 (or Gates of Hell, which unfortunately requires Call to Arms, thus it gets more expensive) or Age of Empires (2 or 3 definitive editions)
