Lackluster ending. (Spoiler post) & msg to the devs...
Obviously this is a spoiler post. So if you read it and you haven't finished the game, it's your own fault.

Ok devs, I realize you were trying to follow history sort-of. And the whole Tsar of russia does die in real life, so yes, it's somewhat understandable.....

But at the same time - WTF ???

This is obviously not real life, you could have taken some creative liberties and actually worked in a more satisfying ending! You just leave the whole 'fenris' plotline hanging? And end on basically a cliffhanger? ....... Bad move if you want people to go away from your game happy and talk about how good it was.

You should have had some sort of ultimate campaign run with the Tesla faction fighting Fenris. ! That would have been a lot more fun. There could have been a couple missions re-establishing the factory, then hunting fenris forces down around europe. Heck you could have even thrown in some time travel in there! As that was hinted at with the Tesla plotline.

But no - we just get a 'oh no! the guy we were trying to guard somehow mysteriously got killed! everyone run away!' ..... pretty terrible ending. At first I thought the game had bugged out and did not continue properly. But now I realize that this was intentional...

And if you plan on continuing the game, but just haven't finished it yet, then you could at least put in a "To Be Continued..." msg or something. That way people would know that there is more to come.

You know what it reminds me of? Game of Thrones final season - where everyone watching went 'wtf' and got angry at the whole series because the last season was handled so poorly.... Ok it's not quite That bad (that was pretty epicly bad) But it's still not a good look, especially when the rest of the game was quite fun! This ending basically puts a huge damper on the entire feel of the game. - Don't do this in the future, it's a bad look.

It's an odd ending for sure. It sets up a larger conflict with Fenris, and while you halt the specific plot of the campaign, you don't actually destroy Fenris. It comes off as watching James Bond foil Emilio Largo's personal plot, but never going after Blofeldt. It teases a larger battle, not present at this time.

Could there be a sequel at some point? I suppose. It's hard to say "oh well multiplayer is meant as the continuation of the campaign", when Fenris is not a playable (or even a fully realized) faction within the game.

The campaign itself was fine for what it was, but I do find it slightly irksome to tease such a potentially epic campaign, when there are no guarantees it will be delivered. A shame too, as I was hoping we'd get to see Vesna enter the fray.

Gotta agree. And Ursonian campaing doesn't really move the story either.
And I doubt at this stage they can present proper conclusion to the story, without plot holes and without it being rushed.

It was trying to do a story that ends on an unknown cliffhanger i think. Wants you to think up of your own ideas, theories and other stuff on what happened after. Same with the usonian campaign at the end you wonder on what happened to William and YOU have to decide not the game

That's the key word - "Trying". One thing is to MAKE an unknown cliffhanger, and other - TRY to. And in my opinion, it ended up rather lackluster and at times confusing, and at times - just odd.

There is an important concept in storytelling called the 'satisfying ending'.
Simply having a story that ... *Snip~!*

See what I mean? That was not creative, or interesting, or conversation starting. It was simply bad. That's how I currently view the ending in this game. Do better.
